Any possibility that you will enable this app to work with a BCC950?
ReplyDeleteYes! I have discovered how to control motorized pan and tilt on BCC950 recently. Will add support for BCC950 in version 1.2.
DeleteOrbit Command 1.2 supports Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam and is available on the Mac App Store now.
DeleteBut it doesn't handle zoom :-(
DeleteAllavsoft also helps to download videos, subtitles, music files from youtube, vimeo, twitter, spotify, soundcloud etc 100+ websites. It has both Windows and Mac version.
DeleteFor when version 1.2 is scheduled for controlling BCC950 Logitech cameras? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI need a few more weeks to test and prepare for version 1.2 release, thanks for your waiting.
DeleteOrbit Command 1.2 supports Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam and is available on the Mac App Store now.
DeleteIn newer version of "Webcam Settings" and "Sight Control", I have added a feature to solve this issue. I am planning to add this feature into "Orbit Command" in the future. It's very difficult for me going back to add new feature into version 1.0. If I add this new feature into Orbit Command 1.3, will you consider upgrade?

3. Click "System Report" from the second "About This Mac" window
4. In the "System Information" window, select Hardware>USB and look for the "Miscellaneous Device"
Please take a screenshot once you find the device and email it to me, thank you very much.

Running a Mini, 2 GHz, Intel core i7, OS 10.9.1 and just picked up a used Quickcam Orbit/Sphere AF. Everything seems to be working fine except no zoom available. Any reason why? So far I like the app! And I am quite liking this little camera too! Any assistance would be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThe Zoom feature can only be found on the Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam. QuickCam Orbit AF/MP does not support this feature on their hardware, sorry about that.
DeleteAny chance you would apply wifi network cameras? Such as Logitech Broadcaster for mac?
ReplyDeleteWi-Fi camera such as Logitech Broadcaster is using proprietary protocols to control their settings. I will investigate the possibility but won't put too much hope on it.
DeleteAny chance you would be able to add the zoom feature to QuickCam Orbit AF because it has this feature on Windows?
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI purchased the orbit command and it works great. However, I wanted to know if you had a command line interface to the pan function.
I need this since I want to adjust the cam on a remote machine which I can ssh to.
thanks

ReplyDeleteI have a Logitech Camera QuickCam Orbit MP (Sphere MP) and just bought your app through the App store. I like it but it doesn't seem to let me click "Auto" on the Focus. I thought it was a supported camera based on the above post. Here's what my entry says:

I am running on Mac OS 10.9.3
Can you please tell me what I'm doing incorrectly?
I'd appreciate it.
It would be super useful for remote work if Orbit Command panning/tilting could be controlled from the command line or from AppleScript. Any such plans? Haven't looked into UI scripting it yet.

ReplyDeleteyeah same... no success on Catalina and using a USB-C adapter for the newer macs
DeleteHey, quick scenario : I've downloaded the trial on Mojave, using a bcc950 cam, I like that you can save multiple profiles, but what I am most interested is that if it can save the position of the camera, because right now it just saves the zoom-in value, but can not revert to the initial position where it was saved .
ReplyDeleteI just downloaded your program and it does not find my camera. Webcam Settings finds it and calls it USB Camera QuickCam Orbit AF (Sphere AF). Please advise.
ReplyDeleteI have the same exact problem as Majikman. Same camera. Webcam setting can find it and calls it USB Camera QuickCam OrbitAF (Sphere AF), but orbit command doesn't find the camera. Please let u know how to remedy.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
i have the same problem. did you find a solution already?
Delete+1 bought it for £9.99 on the App Store and the camera is not recognised. I still have an old instance of Logitech's own Camera Settings app and that finds the camera. Guess it's some Catalina permissions thing. When I go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Camera I can't add anything so I guess the installer has to make that request to the OS.

What do I need to do to get the software to work? Everything is greyed out. I can view the camera in all my apps, Photo Booth, OBS and everything works in Windows.
Please advise.
I also tried starting the app as root, the app doesn't appear in the privacy camera settings.
Deleteafter upgrading to Big Sur, Pan/Tilt stopped working. Everything else still works.
ReplyDeleteI purchased Orbit Command today to control my Logitech webcam. The pan controls work very well, however I cannot get the zoom function to work as it is greyed out on the app. Please can you advise how I can resolve this?
